Find a hotspot anywhere in the world
The Hotspot Finder searches the JiWire database of more than 200,000 hotspots in more than 135 countries, the most comprehensive database of hotspots in the world. The Companion scans each message you type to look for keywords to determine your search location and specific hotspots of interest to you.

Search for free and paid hotspots anywhere in the world by chatting with the Hotspot Finder just like your other Skype buddies. |

Search any part of an address such as the zip code or city name, or type a phrase like "free hotspots in Paris" and in approximately 15 seconds you'll have the first 5 results back from the Companion. |

Search on keywords like "cafe" or "hotel," or you can search by actual names of venues like "McDonald's" or "Borders." You can also combine keywords such as "free" and "hotel" for more precise results. See "Use keywords" for a list of possible keywords to help you search. |

Find yourself anywhere in the world
No matter where you are in the world, the Hotspot Finder displays your exact location and all hotspots and other services around you.

Here's how to get started
Step 1: Download and install the JiWire Hotspot Finder for Skype™ by clicking Add JiWire to Skype
Step 2: Start chatting with the Hotspot Finder and find hotspots instantly. It's that easy!
View hotspots and local information by interactive map
When you search for hotspots, the interactive map displays all the hotspots within your search area. Scroll over any of the hotspots shown on the map and get the address and other detailed information about that hotspot.

Use the scroll bar on the left side of the map to zoom in or out, or toggle between the map view and the bird's eye view. |

Get the local weather and traffic reports, see other area businesses, and get directions by using the buttons on the left. |

Read local news via the news scroll at the bottom of the map, as well as local time and other location-specific information. |
Manage your connection
The Hotspot Finder also has a built-in connection manager. The Connection Manager tab at the top of the map allows you to choose your access point, and displays your current location and connection.
